We’ve used this website many times in the past, laughing at the funny images, amazed at the immense skill of the users and even used some of the tutorials they offer.
The website is www.worth1000.com, it’s a Photoshop contest website, where you submit images created based upon a certain themes or company’s names and website and compete against other users or specific users in a head to head (H2H) contest.
Worth1000 offers cash prizes for the best images posted in the competitions and there are contests for all Photoshop users good or bad, expert or beginner.
Even if you haven’t started using Photoshop yet, this site can still offer something to you with excellent tutorials, well explained with clear instructions and diagrams.
Whilst watching Diggnation, i decided to check the other shows on Revision3 out, and i came across Pixel Perfect, I’ve seen this show before but never watched a full episode, just little bits, i get distracted easily, however i decided to watch episode 90 all the way through and decided to post it here as it gives very good tips on photoshop. This tutorial goes through everything how to create backgrounds, content boxes, headlines, etc. It also tells you WHY it works so you can use the ideas in different ways and expand on them.
As well as telling you how to create a awesome looking design, it tells you how to use HTML/CSS to put this design into use.
Thanks to Andrew from TheCaffeineProject for the heads up.
